I’m so glad you found the help you needed when at the edge of your bed with a gun, Michael. I’m also very happy you found what you need in AA. I get how the ODAAT approach is important for some people. Sometimes forever is too daunting, and taking things one day at a time is both reassuring and doable. It’s just not for me. I wish you had shared your story without suggesting I am uninformed, dangerous to others, and my sobriety is doomed to fail. Your story is inspiring. Your negativity toward me is part of what gives AA the bad reputation it has. Please don’t suggest that I try, “Actually listening.” Listening carefully is what helped me develop my opinion.

Again, I am truly glad for you, I thank you for sharing you story of redemption and I wish you the best going forward, Michael!
